we often walk along here, and my hubby enjoys to sail around the bay so that we can see this from another angle, well worth a visit. nature at its finest

To sit here and watch the world go by is lovely...... I can see Thatchers Rock from my window so have have this view anytime I want but there are plenty of seats and pleasant gardens

No matter what time of day you visit , Thatcher Rock always provides excellent photographs. The walk around the head is easy , with stunning views of the coastline along the way

Fab views with fhe famous Thatcher Rock out to sea. That her Avenue famous for its fabulous homes and gardens, not least one up for sale at 3.1 million! A nice walk or drive

I couldn’t find out the answer to your question, though a map of the area in 1795 shows that it was called Thatcher at that time.

sorry for the late answer. No, it's a narrow track down lots of steps to the rock, but you can see if from the top of Ilsham Marine Drive from a car or standing on the top of the green. Great photo view and nice area for a... More
