I have never seen so many war memorials so close together! All maintained to a high standard as are the green areas. Plenty of good photo opportunities

A lovely place for a stroll - for fresh air and views especially, but lots of things to do and see. For us it was to visit the Beatlebums art installation and recreate the Beatles famous 1967 photo taken on the Hoe- simple pleasures!

Beautiful clean area. Loved exploring here. The views are amazing and the Lido looked amazing. Really enjoyed our evening walk along the sea front too. So many sites to see.

Lovely scenic area with charming harbour, cobbled streets, manicured flower beds and sea views. A selection of good places to eat and a seaside walk to the aquarium or Smeaton’s tower. Boat tours are available and great fish and chip shops are abundant. Difficult to...More

What a wonderful location. A large, open area to enjoy and watch the world go by. There are little cafes and a walk along the coast. The monument of Francis Drake and the sobering Cenotaph were beautifully situated. I would recommend a visit.

First off, the views from the hoe are incredible. There’s not many places you can take your kids to the park and see the sea. Talking about the park... it’s one of the best ones I’ve ever visited! Little train ride, bouncy castle, cups and...More

Plymouth is a very historic city and pivotal in the growth of Britain. The Barbican is an interesting mix of Elizabethan buildings that survived WWII and less pleasing architecture from the 50s and 60s that infilled the destruction created by the Luftwaffe. The famous Hoe...More

What a lovely thing to do, and yes the Hoe is well lighted and very safe for cycling as there are various traffic calming measures preventing the lunatics from spoiling your time there. Enjoy!

No idea as Remembrance Sunday was so busy, but I would imagine so being such a high profile location
