The quay is an open friendly place under a lot of work for flood reinforcement. Save for supervised children, cycling and dog walking. Although there is a lack of dog poo bins.

It is a nice walk in the summer. It maybe too cold during the winter, especially windy day. Can always see lots of swans, ducks, birds etc. Sometimes can see them use the riVer as a run way to take off, so fun.

Watch the rowers perfecting their skills or just enjoy the ambience. A really bustling place for outside food and drink.

We enjoyed walking by the water, seeing the various water sports. We also saw swans and very young cygnets. Took a cruise from the canal basin down to Double Locks, very enjoyable venue with something for everyone.

Along the river, it's a quite characteristic and ancient part of the city, and a nice walk. Small shops with bits and pieces of handcrafted objects, or related to fishing activities.

It is a short walk from the Cathedral, less than 10 minutes. However part of the way is a bit steep which could be a bit uncomfortable for someone hat does not find walking very easy. There are alternative routes, which may... More

Hi Kay, Yes, most of the little craft shops are open 7 days a week. 'Quay presents' stays open I think until about 5pm, and the other cellar shops stay open until 5pm too.
