The Cathedral is a truly magnificent building which miraculously managed to escape the worst ravages inflicted on the City by the Luftwaffe. Marvellous stone carvings on the exterior and warm and welcoming in the interior.

I don’t understand why a cathedral insists on a charge for visiting. It should be optional donations.

1000 + people enjoyed a fabulous start to the festival season with the cathedral choirs on 8 Dec, including both boys and girls. Director of music hugely welcoming. Music gorgeous, so enjoyable on so many levels. And the cathedral itself is majestic.

We really enjoyed the carol service . The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed . This is important as I can't sing ! In spite of one boiler going down it was warm .

You would certainly need to contact the cathedral to find out. If they cannot help you could - no doubt - provide something suitable yourself and hand it in previously for the celebrant to consecrate
