This is a lovely little cove, nice sand, safe bathing, food and drinks facilities at the rear of the beach, clean toilets up the slope, changing huts, brilliant for families.

Steep hill or steps to get down to the beach but absolutely beautiful. Also had clean toilets and a beach bar/cafe for take away food. Perfect.

St Ives has 3 beaches. All are excellent. Porthmeor is the surfing beach. Hundreds of yards of lovely sands. Porthminster Beach is again masses of sand but no real waves so great for kids. Porthgwidden is a small beach between the two large beaches. Excellent...More

Carpark nearby but arrive early for a space. Good beach for young children as they cannot wander far.

On our visit there was a "no dogs allowed" sign at the entrance to the beach.there is however a dog friendly beach a five minute walk away.
