Tiny pub on corner of a residential street, hidden away. Apparently the beer was excellent. There was a bewildering array of gins & looked as though there was a great selection of other spirits eg vodkas & malt whisky. The bar man was efficient but...More
Best craft beers, best selection of spirits. Lots of crazy stuff to look at and fantastic locals. Miguel the landlord is very welcoming and we very much enjoyed drinking there. They do a cool supper club on a Wednesday also.
Discovered this place while on holiday in Penzance. Tucked down a side street with a fantastic historic exterior. The interior doesn’t disappoint either eclectic, colourful, vibrant, interesting and very welcoming. A range of great beers and the rum selection is to die for. Very friendly...More
We found the Lamp and Whistle while walking through our Penzance neighborhood. Peeking through the windows, it was a magical sight for our American eyes. Migel is the most awesome bartender. HIs willingness to engage in thoughtful conversation was refreshing and memorable. We stopped in...More

I was keen to visit this pub as I'd heard of its extensive range of beer and I'm always keen to support micropubs.

Popped in here after finding it online before coming on holiday. We can't comment on previous experience with the landlord as he was not present at the time when we stopped by. They have a great selection of spirits and craft beers which is exactly...More
We came across this place on a cold, wintry weekend in Penzance and found it the perfect cosy hideaway. The interior is fabulous, packed full of retro odds and ends, with some good music on, too. Best of all, though, is the selection of gins...More
