After being banned from the gardens at Trellisick our dog was welcomed at Trengwainton (where is the consistency in your policies NT?) and we were able to walk around the kitchen garden area as a couple instead of one of us having to wait back...More

Although this is a National Trust property the cafe is run privately. The choice on the menu and on the specials board is excellent and the coffee is good as well. There is no entrance into the cafe from the gardens, you have to walk...More

We visited here on the cloudiest day of our holiday but we were welcomed by very friendly staff. The gardens ascend up to a view of mounts bay but sadly the weather closed in and the heavens opened so we didn’t get much of a...More

Nice gardens worth a visit if you are National Trust member. We had fine weather which helps. Gardens are not anything remarkable and felt that they could have done with a few more gardeners to get on top of some areas that looked a little...More

All the usual elements you expect from a NT house and garden visit A Highlight for us was the kitchen gardens, beautifully presented flowers and vegetables in stunning combinations. A nice walk takes you up to a terrace area with long views out to sea

Trengwainton may not be as large as other NT gardens but it offers a fun space to explore with many towering ferns which give the location an almost tropical feel. The views of Mount's Bay from the terrace offer a perfect backdrop for a picnic....More

This is a bit of a gem. There are numerous interesting and varied walled gardens and attractive short walks to the terrace with its splendid views.

When we arrived the car park was full and we struggled to find a space although we did eventually. In spite of this once inside the grounds it is easy to get away from it all and find peace and solitude. The Walled Gardens and...More
