I love visiting this wonderful beach, the catering is great and there is always something to interest me. This time I enjoyed the surf school in operation .

Went here today, it’s a nice beach, the sand is good to make sandcastles. The toilets are located at the aquarium which is right on the beach so that was good. Could have done with a tap near the ramp to wash feet off before...More

Beautiful scenery, very clean and had everything we could possibly think of. It’s right in the centre of town so easy enough to walk to and plenty of places to grab a bite or drink. Highly recommend!

Nice beach. Seemed nice and clean. Plenty around to do and see - nice little ice cream van and cafe. Very nice and quiet when we visited. Dog friendly. Few little rock pools. Walking distance from car parks etc. We chose a difficult route down...More

Towan beach is a quiet sheltered beach with plenty of surfers about. Being in the cove it protects from some of the wind and plenty of little caves to explore at low tide. Easy access from the town and plenty of places for food or...More

Very surprised to see dogs on a town centre beach the week after Easter as they are banned on many Cornish beaches from Easter Day. As a dog owner I know that dogs don’t mix with children digging sand castles and suggest you take the...More

Some great, sheltered waves, perfect for beginners. Escape surf school (possibly the best in Newquay) is based here.

The beaches in Newquay town all join at low tide so you can walk round from the Great Western to the town centre. Lots of sand, rock pools to enjoy. Plenty of places to get food or hire deckchairs.

We went on a Spring high tide with the waves crashing against the boulevard, very dramatic. Friendly beach at low tide too with lots of rocks to explore and a large stretch of sand. The house marooned by erosion on a rocky outcrop on the...More

If you go make sure it is a calm day. The undercurrents around Cornwall can be dangerous.
