The kids liked the displays, most are working, so entertaining and interactive. The best adult machine was the bar with a barmaid whose breasts lit up! And a drunk who couldn't stand up.

This was an awesome place to visit and a lot to see in such a quaint building. Downstairs you have the library and upstairs is the art gallery. The staff were readily available to assist you in the operation of some of the exhibits and...More

My family and I had a lovely mooch around the art gallery - they were holding an exhibit of mechanical structures which you could interactively use which is great for children and my engineering husband really enjoyed himself. ! Well worth a visit !

Fun exhibition of working models that kids could operate along with a robot to program. The kids then made their own Morph. A very different art gallery so well done.

We love the exhibit. Our son loved playing with the bottoms and handles. Also enough to interest the adults too and all this for free. You can’t argue with that! Library has a good book section too.

Disappointingly small, yet rich in fine maritime paintings by renowned artists of the genre including Charles Ingram, Freeman, and Hemy. The Council Chambers are graced by a magnificent large Gainsborough which they will show you if you ask. Oh, and the Gallery is free of...More

Large signs outside advertising "Free Entry To Art Gallery".. Thought we would take a look. Glad we hadn't made a special journey. The gallery consists of 3 small rooms and as they were between exhibitions, we were in and out in 5 minutes.

Gallery has 3 quite small rooms and that's it. Took me 10-15 minutes of visit. Nothing special, unfortunately
