in our age of Austerity nice to see something that was designed to show that the City had money to swank with in the past

The clock holds some sort of UK record for one of the most photographed clocks in the country. Expect crowds of people on a sunny day! Adjacent to the clock is an 'artist in residence' who, for 20+ years, has made a living from selling...More

Very attractive structure that can be viewed from the street below or close up, below it, on the city walls. Makes a good start and finish point for walking all the way round.

The Eastgate clock is beautiful. It can be seen from the street or you can walk up to see it with the steps underneath it by the tiny doughnut shop. The view above is fantastic and you can walk the city walls from here

This clock is visible from the main shopping area in Chester. A Victorian Clock, good iron work. It can be seen close up from the elevated walkway.

How lovely to see it in bright sunshine. The restoration has been done brilliantly. It is iconic and your eyes gravitate upwards to view it , quite naturally.

It's a very nice clock and a very good piece of engineering. Did not bother to spend too much time here. Could see much that was interesting from the street below.

The clock is unique and is very well maintained. A real asset to Chester. It certainly points you in the direction of the shopping area.

Apparently the most photographed clock in the UK se one only to Big Ben. That’s as maybe, but difficult to get a decent photograph without people taking selfies (even on a Monday!). Worth seeing nonetheless.

The clock mechanism was replaced after a full upgrading of the clock was completed in October 2015. It is beautiful and admired by many thousands of tourists and of course we who live in Chester!
