Sad to say that the Dee may well have nasty infectious and contagious bacteria lurking about in its muddy waters. The Groves are a nice feature and should not be missed along with food places and pub. There are river trips, rowing and paddle boats....More

We just love strolling here, alongside the Dee, and watching all the activity. On a warm summer’s day, it does get crowded with tourists but there is a real buzz. There are seats or steps to sit and watch from, individual boats such as pedalos...More

Our hotel overlooked the river and it was lovely to see the views with all the floating pontoons, rowing clubs, river cruises, Chester's old Dee Bridge, etc. A fine pedestrian bridge and a Victorian bandstand. A number of pubs and cafes along the route with...More

The River Dee is a lovely wide walk way with lovely pubs and eating places along the way. There are also boat trips and a canoe club. Plenty of places to seat too.

Excellent value for money to take both trips together, which also provides a better deal. Very informative telling you about the history of city and the surrounding buildings. Plenty of time to hop on and off the bus with the tickets that can be used...More

Took a paddle boat for a fun trip on the river. It was a blistering hot day in July so the river felt like respite from the heat. We paid 20 pounds for the hire and for three that was acceptable for a half hour...More

Lovely place to walk very relaxing with plenty of seating. We went on the power boat for 30 mins really enjoyable bit steep on price £25 but worth it. Always enjoy it.
