A visit here is average, it has the same exhibition as most museum,s still worth a visit to kill some time , not the best museum.

There is a good display on the history of Chester including a variety of memorial stones. There is a display of now the entrance would have looked originally and the receptions rooms etc. There are facilities to get a drink We did not have time...More

This museum is free and located on two floors. Victorian building. Half the ground floor dedicated to the museum plus what appears to be the whole of the first floor. Roman themes, including grave stones, and natural history dominate. Children's activity area. Worth a visit...More

I love this museum. I have been dozens of times and it always fascinates. Love the Roman gravestones...they bring the city to life.

A Victorian building with rooms on two levels. Most of the exhibits are of Roman artefacts found in Chester. These are well labelled and are impressive.

Unfortunately none of the museum staff are producing eggs at this moment . Your pet tortoise will have to be kept chained up outside as we are worried he might try to chew dinosaur bones sorry
