Can't beat a walk round the walls to get rid of the night before. It is a very pleasant walk and you do get great views around the city. Well worth taking the time to explore.

Found the wall easy to follow with useful information along the way. Last bit being repaired but didn't spoil the overall experience.

Enjoyed a walk around Chester along the Roman Walls. Really good roof top views around the city, finished off with a walk along the canal.

Interesting historic walk and insight into the past. You can see all aspects of Chester from Roman to modern and see all the sights including the river and the race course.

Sorry for the delay in replying. The wall is free and open at all times. No guided tour but plaques explaining local sights and information at various points along the wall. The castle keep is free to to look around.

Loads of car parks in the centre, Grosvenor Hotel car park entrance - 1 mins to walls. Law Courts / river area car parks - 1 mins to wall. Race course / Market area car parks (lots of them) - 1 mins to walks - hope this helps
