Although not in the city centre, its just a few minutes walk from the city walls and well worth it.

After my first visit a couple if years ago with my son & finding a very warm, friendly atmosphere, with a great selection if beers to suit most tastes, I've made a point of returning again & again, whenever I'm in the area.

Was there on Friday 28th July (not for the first time) and cannot fault it.
If you prefer something that doesn't deliver generic lager in a generic atmosphere then this is the place for you. Real Ale makes it worth a visit on it's own.
We've visited this fab place numerous times in the past year they've been open. Can always get a good pint at a reasonable (for Chester) price. Always get a warm welcome here, and the team know their stuff when it comes to what they've got...More
