Very welcoming and friendly. Lovely warm real fire alight. No gaming machines or music blaring out. Somewhere to meet up for a lovely cosy evening of talking and enjoying the real pub atmosphere. Good choice of real ales. Did not eat on this occasion but...More

Wonderful little place tucked in a Cambridge backstreet, full of character. Comes with a lovely beer garden and an interesting history. Cosy inside with a real fire for winter

Quaint beer garden on a hot day. We enjoyed the beer and food. Lots more choice for vegetarians than most pub menus. Very friendly staff and service wanting to please so happy to provide beer tasters.

I love the Free Press; atmosphere and clientele are great. The food used to be consistently good when they stuck to pub grub, not this pop up nonsense that they seem to have imported from London. Every one of my 6 recent both lunch and...More

The Free Press is one of my favourite pubs in Cambridge. It's great! They have a wide range of beers and ciders including constantly changing 'guest beers'. Don't forget to try out the snug room. It's tiny and has it's own private bar! It's great...More
