Lovely place to sit and contemplate the world hurrying by. Great buildings and little sun traps with benches to rest in. Chapel was lovely but seats a bit uncomfy in there (presumably to keep folk awake !). Loved it.

Thanks for visiting Andrew! We're glad you enjoyed Main Court!
it looks oddly unfinished. Very odd feel to the place - but I love it! If one was honest, it's one of the uglier Oxbridge colleges - only Sidney Sussex here - or Balliol College at Oxford - are more plain. But that's what's great...More

Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you at St Catharine's again soon.
Was here for four nights to watch Middlesex play at Fenner's. Very good value and a reasonable cooked breakfast for £42 per night in central Cambridge.
Had shared bathroom with meant larger room in an old quad. Slight queue in mornings if timing wrong.

Thank you for your review Chris. We'll pass it on to our porters!
We stayed here last year for B&B and were extremely impressed. It's a fantastically convenient location ( we were in Cambridge for the Alumni Festival so needed to walk all around Cambridge). The breakfast was very good quality. We'd certainly recommend staying here.

invited for dinners at the colleges.
There is really only one reason why dinning at one of the old colleges is so spectacular. It's the old dinning halls, the very...More

St Catherine's is a pleasant college, which supposedly has closed access. You may visit the chapel however for services. Ignoring the sign I proceeded to the chapel on the excuse of enquiring the service times. The chapel is interesting and well worth a visit. The...More
I was there for a scientific meeting, so a faculty member of St. Catharine's booked 3 nights for me in a room with private bath at a very reasonable rate (would have been pretty reasonable if he hadn't booked it).

I stayed for 2 nights in St Catharine's College, bed and breakfast, cheap and cheerful student accommodation. A nice big room overlooking a courtyard(don't walk on the grass) with the lavatory and shower room at the other end of the corridor. There were three small...More
