Visited with my daughter, lots to see. An amazing collection of art, sculptures, pottery & jewellery. They have items from Egypt, Greece etc. Cafe is nice for a pit stop. Would visit again.

Nice visit.. enough to keep the children entertained for a few hours. Best part was the temporary exhibitions. Friendly staff.. not sure how compares to other museums

Every year I came in Cambridge a place I like to return is the Fitzwilliam Museum , a real cultural institution of this city. His majestic entrance, the permanent exhibition with the masterpieces of different artistic periods and the new rooms dedicated to temporary exhibitions...More

The Fitzwilliam is a wonderful old museum, with serious wooden cases displaying marvelous objects, sculptures, artifacts, and incidental items. It was a few hours well-spent in an excellent and well-presented collection.

We visited here as a family of four (children aged 11 & 15). The museum is absolutely full of many, many items. Whilst there are some beautiful items here (and there are many beautiful and interesting artifacts), there are almost too many to look it....More

Fantastic museum on the quiet end of Trumpington street away from the t shirt shops. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours here to view a wonderful art museum. BTW, it's free.

Do visit the Fitz. A very varied collection with something to please most people. Their special exhibitions are excellent and cover their subject in depth. And it’s all free Suits adults and children but not sure there’s much for very small children

Beautiful, plenty of hidden treasures and really well preserved. Staff very welcoming and educated . The paintings selection is better than some of very well renamed museums
