Nightglows, Firework Displays and Mass Balloon Launches are just some of the spectacular events that you can expect during the four days of free, family-friendly fun that make up the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Founded more than thirty years ago, today the fiesta is the largest of its kind in Europe, featuring more than 100 hot air balloons, and attracting half a million visitors annually. Nothing quite compares to the daily ‘breakfast and balloons’ spectacle - bound to leave you speechless - while the parachute displays, music stage, fairground rides and more, will help to keep kids - both young and old - happily entertained for the entire day.

We have been here for many a year but this year we were disappointed. Not with regard the weather but the organisation of parking. Lots of stalls and different areas to explore and experience. The balloons are amazing on the ground and in the air....More

We was lucky enough to see the hot air balloons take off Saturday 6am which was absolutely fantastic, such an amazing show but the weather later on that day was terrible so they didn't launch at 6pm & couldn't teather the balloons. We always stay...More

Great day out. Suggest getting there early & leaving early. This is a non ticket event and can get very busy. Be prepared for lots of walking and take a picnic. If it’s windy you won’t see many balloons in the air.

My family and I went to the fiesta when visiting the Cotswolds in August 2018. My wife, who is mobile-impaired, has always wanted to visit the fiesta. We first became aware of the fiesta when visiting family members who live in Portishead almost 30 years...More

You cannot blame the organisers, but we got there hopping to see balloons flying, but the weather put pay to it. The day could have been a good day. The hope is that next year the weather is on their side.

We arrived by coach and were dropped off on this massive car park with no signs telling us which way to walk. No fault of the coach company - this is where the so-called organisers of the balloon fiesta tell coaches and buses to drop...More

Having visited the balloon festival for the past 6 years, it was disappointing to see how poorly the event was organised this year in comparison to previous ones. It wasn't helped by Bristol deciding to dig up pretty much most of the roads in the...More
