We were up at 4.00am on Friday August 10th, to arrive at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta at 5.30am when the gates opened. We were staying in Bath, so the journey to the Balloon site took about half-an-hour. The Balloons were supposed to fly at...More
Almost did not see any at all as it rained on the Thursday and was too windy on the Friday. Managed to drag ourselves out of bed at 6am on Saturday to see the balloons rise over the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Memorable and highly recommended.
Awesome experience! We were lucky that the air was still and the sky was blue.. we watched from the golf course near the general admission parking, where the balloons flew directly overhead and many touched down. Only pitfall was the queue to park which was...More

I really don't know where you will see them. You might see one go over your house occasionally if you are lucky - and that is the best you can hope for. Bristol was an expensive funfair - an absolute con !
