We believe there is nothing like live performance. We are excited by shows that amuse, move and thrill you, and which celebrate the unique feeling of sharing an intimate room and a live experience with 100 other people. We feel just as passionately today as we did when we started this adventure in 2011 and more than ever we are on a mission to make live theatre something that everyone feels welcome to, part of and excited by. A thriving and vital arts hub run by a passionate group of Bristol theatre-makers, we do things differently at The Wardrobe Theatre - come and see for yourself!

The venue is really nice and intimate with friendly staff. Pretty easy to park on the street outside. You can take your drink into the theatre which is a big plus. Most of the seating is bench seating and is really uncomfortable. I do have...More

Only visited for the first time due, thanks to Residents Open Door day, and totally loved the immersive experience. Unlike a large theatre, there is no barrier between the actors and the audience, and that makes for an intense, emotional experience - you really get...More

Impromtu decision to find some theatre on our first night in Bristol, from Kent. Found this gem! 'Closer Each Day' was brilliant! What a fab idea to have an improvised soap opera running every fortnight - loved the show, loved the venue!

We took our grandchildren to see 'Noisy Holiday' at the Wardrobe theatre; it was such a good show. We all loved it. Sensational energy from Kid Carpet-he works really hard and is so good with children. Brilliant

I recently visited this theatre for a performance of "We are Ian". I really enjoyed the show; a riotous, immersive experience and super affordable to boot. The venue itself is intimate with a convivial atmosphere. We ate earlier in the evening and regretted it; the...More
