I loved this place. The music, the dancing and the whole atmosphere. What a complete and utter shame, this wonderful institution has been closed. . . Not because it was losing money but because “ the landlords” wanted to make more money by tearing it...More

A great place for gigs and I've been a few times now. Friendly staff. The only negative, it's called Bierkeller. It's a shame they don't sell more beer as there were no dark beers or ales on tap. What about actually selling some Erdinger or...More

There for the Mad Dog McRea gig on 21/10/17. The gig itself was fantastic, and as a music venue, the space for dancing was good, and sound-wise it worked well. My main complaints are about it as a bar. The bar itself was understaffed throughout...More

Love these small venues when you can actually see the artist you've come to watch rather than stare at a screen half a mile away. Floor could do with a mop as you tend to get stuck to the floor if you stay in one...More

What a dive. Walls painted black, sticky floors, low ceilings & generally in a poor state. It was a hot night & there's no ventilation let alone air conditioning so it was stiflingly hot & sweaty & very uncomfortable. The bar (which only takes cash)...More

Went to attend a gig, so the venue choice wasn't mine to see the artist I wanted to see. The gig itself was brilliant, great support act, and the main act also fantastic. Just wish we could have stayed to see the end of the...More

As a gig venue for a couple of bands this would be great. Staff quick and free water when beer capacity had been reached. However, a downside was that the gig was an all day event and there was no food available. Just simple burgers...More

Great place to go with a group of friends, dancing on the table and a decent stein. The only down side is that you cannot pay individually which can make paying the bill annoying.

I read reviews on here and had real reservations about the gig as majority of reviews are negative. HOWEVER, ignore these when attending a gig. Beer was average price for a gig and although they don't stock any German beer it was fine. Sound was...More

It can be quite busy but a generally good atmosphere! It is always the bierkeller so don't wear your gest shoes (the floor is always sticky). It's a bit spit and sawdust but this all adds to the character of the place, I... More
