This is a proper wood very close to the heart of Bristol. Lots of paths to explore on foot, plus dedicated mountain bike trails. Free and plentiful parking. Great views over the Avon Gorge. Lots of dogs about.

Great for a break from the city noise. Some impressive specimens of trees dating back hundreds of years. Super for dogs, bikes or a simple stroll.

Beautiful walks along pretty good pathways - many different walks of length or gradient so something for everyone. Not sure for those in wheelchairs however so will have to take more notice when we visit again. Great place for the whole family.
