This place really gives you a sense of history and you can imagine that it was one of the most prestigious places to live in Bristol. It is mentioned in Philippa Gregory's book "A respectable trade".

Surprised (on July 12) to find this park so close to Broad Quay. Historic houses being preserved and a statue of King William 3 centre stage,

Quiet square close to centre of Bristol. Lots of lovely old buildings surrounding it. It also had a Gromit unleashed art work for the gromit trail too. Great place for a picnic.

Large but quiet square in the centre of Bristol close to the waterfront. Surrounded by large old buildings which are mostly offices now. The square hosts large events from time to time such as markets so gets busy then but plenty to do.
