Until relatively recently there was a busy road through the centre of the square. The traffic has been rerouted and the square put back to how it would have been originally, with pressed gravel paths, seats and calm near the centre of a bustling city....More

Large but quiet square in the centre of Bristol close to the waterfront. Surrounded by large old buildings which are mostly offices now. The square hosts large events from time to time such as markets so gets busy then but plenty to do.

This is a lovely old square to take a short cut through or just enjoy sitting down for lunch break. Very peaceful during the day. Used for lots of free festivals and events, French markets, large screen showing films

Queen Square is a very attractive open space with a small park and historical Georgian buildings. It is a wonderful place to have a wander about but we were there in a cold January morning.

I came here almost everyday to play in the park with a Frisbee and boomerang. It's near the bay and close to St Mary's church. You will always meet interesting people here.

Somewhere to sit and enjoy a rest on a nice day. Occasionally has an event. There was a comedy garden festival when I visited.

This magnificent square was built for the business families enrichened by the goods-slave-sugar trade of the late 1700's to mid 1800's as depicted by Phillipa Gregory in her book "A respectable trade".
