Windy road to get there but well worth it. Great spot for photography and relaxing. I never get tired of the different sands and interesting vistas around NZ.

Amongst all beaches and fresh water on NZ shore, black sand gives this place a stunning view. This visit to piha was spectacular with moderate tide level and cloudy yet cold day.

I had never been to Piha before, and thought it was so beautiful! It is such a long beach with lots of walking tracks nearby. The water was warm so I got in a couple of swims. Can't wait until I get a chance to...More
