Picturesque with nice walk to explore the area around Taitomo Island at low tide. Fun to watch the surfers or just walk the beach at sunset.

I loved the drive to Piha, through lush bush, daisies growing wild by the side of the road. The reveal is stunning as you see your first glimpse. Great houses dot the mountains and look so peaceful. The sand was amazing, fine grain golden sand...More

Love the beach. Good for surf and to play with kids near the creeks. Also a nice playground next to the campground. Be careful during summer when the black sand gets really hot and people get trapped in between the dunes. If you are not...More

One of the best places to surf in Auckland. Piha is also famous for its black sand. Get up the Lion Rock and enjoy the breath-taking view.

Piha Beach is an absolutely stunning place to visit. There is a bus that goes there now! Costs $40 bucks for a return ticket and gives you a tour of Piha!

A beautiful place to chill and enjoy the scenery. Midweek we had the beach to ourselves. Nice scenic drive from Auckland.

Piha is where our New Zealand life-saving Champions training is at its peak. The surf is very rough and I would not recommend for amateurs to swim safely here. Great Beach walks and great day out! Scenery beautiful!
