I saw many animals, Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebees, Warthog, Lions, I will see how to upload photos that I took myself, to show you. I also saw many types of Bok some quite large, yes toilets are in bad condition and don't expect to go to a restaurant but for R80 a person and R10 a car. I really enjoyed myself and had a great time, apparently you can also do a horse trail. Bring cash as they do not have card facilities.

It is so very sad that such a popular destination is not how great it always was. There isn't even a restaurant anymore. Really think Mogale City must look at other tenders too redo the place

What in the world happened to this place, we where kidz when going there, and then again after leaving school with family, but as we went there again more recent i can see deterioration and going backwards, they need serious upgrades and better leadership in this place...now with estates popping up everywhere it seems like thats their goal and the animals would have to find a new bush to peepee behind (new home)

As I was leaving to return to the UK, my grandparent wanted to do something special before I went so they decided to take me to the Krugersdorp Game Reserve. They then phoned the number which they received from the website and the person on the phone said it has swimming facilities and great wildlife, just bring your own refreshments.
So the next morning my Uncle and his family took me and my Grandma to the game reserve and paid for everything.
We went through and found it was quite suspicious that there were hardly any animals besides guinea fowl and a couple of springbok. We went through the gates to the lion enclosure where we were told "feeding time is at 12.30" we drove around twice and waited at the spot just incase the lions were sleeping or something. We eventually gave up and decided to go to the toilet and see if there were any shops. We drove to a building with a sign saying open, when we looked in the refrigerators were packed up and the door was locked. So we asked the security guard is the shop closed down he was as unsure about it as we were. So we carried on our search to find some toilets, we ended up by the main bit of the park and tried to see if the "restaurant" would have toilets, it was locked up and the furnishings were covered. It was obvious the place was closed. We looked around and found some people sitting in the park so we enquired about toilets, the person led us through a gate past dried up swimming pools then showed us where the toilets were. The female toilets were completely locked, however the make toilets were open, but were in a bad state.
We then approached the exit where we finally saw a sign saying that all the shops and restaurants etc were closed. (Why it wasn't at the entrance or said on the phone I don't know). We complained to the lady at the window of the exit and she kept saying "no, no you paid for safari. There is a lion, I saw him yesterday". Eventually, the manager rocked up and said we shouldn't have been let in and gave us a full refund and explained that most of the animals were already sent away and that the park is closed.

I booked a horse trail ride with SA Horseback Safaris (Karen 078 595 5444) with a foreign friend and we had a great time. There were novice riders in our group and their capabilities set the pace etc. Safety first! So no riding in the lion enclosure. We saw giraffe, gemsbok, springbok and lots of other bucks from nearby. After the ride we witnessed the feeding of the very impressive lions 2 meters from the car; this is included in the price (R80 reserve ticket and R 350 for the horse ride). Absolutely worth the drive to Krugersdorp. When we got home the souvenir-pictures Karen took were already on my WhatsApp!

The reserve is under new management and while there are a good few animals to see it is leaving many things uncompleted. The lion enclosure was a disappointment - I took two trips around to find the lions hiding away in an off limits separate cage! There are no shops and the picnic and catering facilities are left to stand idle. The entrance fee is thus somewhat expensive given the mooted experience.

My husband & I decided to visit the Krugersdorp Game Reserve this last Saturday. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We went mainly to see the animals, and we were not disappointed. Spending a few hours driving around was really relaxing as we got our “wild life fix”. I’m not going to lie; you can see the park has fallen into a state of disrepair. You can see evidence though of work in progress, and we do hope it will once again return to its former glory. The kiosk area is not operational at the moment, so bear that in mind when visiting.

According to the guard the place has been under new management since April, there is no place to stay, there is no kiosk, there is nothing that was promised on the websites that I visited to find out about this location. A big let down for my family. Literally the only thing worth seeing was the lions
