I arrived at lunchtime and despite a few hiccups getting a guide, the girls organised me an afternoon trip around Johannesburg. My guide/driver Herman (Zach) was absolutely brilliant.
Full of humour and local knowledge we visited constitutional hill and Soweto as well as Johannesburg city. I learnt so much about the city and country in a real fun way. We visited the power stations, Mandela House and Hectorās memorial as well as getting a great understanding of Soweto.
We visited different areas where Herman gave me a great insight into the cultures, history and background to all the areas. An absolute fantastic afternoon and the best introduction to Johannesburg I could have hoped for.

On our first day, we were able to arrange for a tour to Lesedi Cultural Village within a few minutes (our room wasn't ready yet). Part of this was due to the lovely recommendation of our airport pick-up Driver, Colet.
On our second day, we were also able to arrange for a last-minute tour to Pilanesburg National Park
On both occasions, we had friendly, super-knowledgable tour-guides, who were able to tell us a lot about culture and history; who were just super interesting people to meet and talk to, and hear about their lives.
On our third trip, we booked a tour to the Apartheid museum. It took us a while to decide on that:
it just felt like the price was extremely high considering it was essentially a drop-off/pick-up and a self-guided tour that we could probably do ourselves with an Uber at a cheaper cost.
However, we had made great experiences with Boyangape, and this was the day of our departure and we didn't want to risk anything going wrong and we just decided to pay that much and know all would work out.
And it was cool! And after the Museum just super cool to hear about our driver's experience concerning the 1994 election.
When I got back to the Hotel, I realized I'd left my phone in the car - and I was supposed to head to the airport in 10 minutes! The "boss" Chris quickly drove to our driver's next appointment (because he had gone for another pick-up) and we arranged for a friend of mine to pick it uo and bring it here.
All in all, we had extremely wonderful tours and great experiences. The only thing I'd like to add is that I did try to contact the office several weeks before we arrived, but received no reply other than something to the effect of "your request is being processed". I would have liked to have a more detailed plan before-hand... But it all worked out.

We had an excellent service with this company. We were picked up efficiently from the airport with a sign and the two tours we did were excellent with Jimmy. We did the Soweto tour which also included a drive through Johannesburg where Jimmy pointed out landmarks and gave us a lot of information. The tour was incredibly informative and gave us the perfect introduction to South African culture and the story of Soweto will remain in our hearts.
The next day Jimmy took us to Pillanesburg for our first taste of African game. We experienced beautiful landscape, lots of animals and excellent conversation with Jimmy as we were keen to learn more of the history and culture of South Africa. Jimmy was an excellent tour guide and person, we enjoyed his company for our two days in Johannesburg and would recommend him and this company.

It was okay. The gape tour did not show as much gape as I had hoped originally. The people were nice and it wasn't bad. I would recommend it if you are interested in gape but it is not the best activity you can do. :) xx

I made reservations for airport transfers to the Indaba hotel and back to the airport. Despite the my flight being delayed on arrival to Johannesburg, the staff waited and was very friendly. My transfer back five days later was on time. Would greatly recommend Boyang Gape Tours and Travel.

After missing my flight,I found myself with no accommodation or transport. However, after a quick call, the owner of the company organised a quick pick up to my desired location and took me to the airport on time the following day. Great service and friendly staff. Would recommend

The only reason for turning to this agency is because it was recommended by the hotel.
I have travelled widely and never experience having to wait for a pick up at airport before. Hence, it was an unpleasant experience for us to have to wait about 45 mins for our pick up from airport to hotel. I have even informed the agency of the time of flight arrival, but according to the driver, he had to drop off another customers and hence, even though our flight ETA 3.15pm, we were only picked up at 4.15pm.
Even on the day of pick up from hotel to airport, the driver was late and still took his time to want to settle at the desk. Understand that it is normal for people to reach airport just 30 mins before departure in South africa, but I hope that Boyang Gang can understand that as tourist, we are not familiar with the airport layout, hence, we need sufficient time to reach and find out where to check in etc. The last thing we need is to miss our flight because of lateness in being picked up and anxiety experienced.
