My first trip with Wild-Eye exceeded every expectation! I traveled with Andrew Beck to Kenya in Nov 2020 for a photographic Safari and it was exceptional! Yes, there is a pandemic going on, yes, Covid was a concern, no, I didn’t hesitate to book the trip as both Wild-Eye and the Kenya Safari camps had everything under control! I never feared Covid! This was my 7th photographic safari and by far the best! Andrew was a great guide and I learned more in two weeks than on any other Safari! He was so receptive to teaching and answering questions...he was a true mentor. He loves to teach and you can be assured that he is there for YOU to get the killer shots...not himself. Please don’t hesitate to book with Wild-Eye as you won’t be disappointed...

If you thought you could only rely on Wild Eye when you're traveling with one of their guides, think again. Die to the Covid crisis, a Wild Eye trip I was meant to take wasn't possible, so Xander and the Wild Eye staff, with only about 2 months' notice, helped me plan an incredible experience in Tanzania. I'm the person who prides herself on trip planning and actually enjoys doing it, but Wild Eye's expertise and connections made a trip possible that I would have been exceedingly hard pressed to duplicate on my own. I don't know if I was the most annoying client Xander has dealt with, but I do know I had tons of questions and, especially given the complexity of travel right now, tons of need for reassurance, and he not only took it in stride, he was incredibly game about it. Much like Wild Eye was the first organized trip I ever took and it changed the way I think about organized trips, Wild Eye is not the first travel assistance I've ever availed myself of...and it's changed the way I think about that. My interactions with this company have been nothing short of exemplary, and if that's their strategy for repeat customers, well IT WORKS! Can't wait for my two trips in 2021 and for the ones that will come after that.

Review on Sabi - Earth Lodge trip during COVID. Going on holiday wasn’t a decision we took likely as my son is a chronic asthmatic and it’s during COVID-19. All through lock down we spoke about going back to the Okavango Delta as we had an incredible trip through Wild Eye. We are a well seasoned travel family and take every holiday as an adventure. This COVID-19 lockdown took its toll not only on the travel industry but on all of us who live to be out there. Wild eye has been our travel companion on a variety of African safaris and photography workshops so it was our first choice when enquiring about local travel during lockdown. Wild eye presented us with a unique, all inclusive, tailor-made getaway to the world renowned Sabi Sabi. Upon arrival at the Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge, yes, the one where the wild elephants walk up to feed on the Marula trees planted all around the grounds, Pieter and his well trained team were always on hand to cater to our every whim. I am allergic to dairy but they whipped up mouth watering chocolate chip cookies and amazing sorbet that melted in my mouth. The morning snacks before the game drives and the afternoon “tea” were culinary delights in their own right. I must make special mention of the chefs ability to prepare fillet, best we’ve ever had. Sabi has gone to great lengths to ensure that all COVID-19 safety protocols are observed without having the procedures feel clinical. The courteous staff are always on hand, smiling behind their decorative masks and tactfully maintaining their social distancing. We saw incredible wildlife interactions, Buffalo chasing lion twice, wild dogs hunting twice, 4 different leopards, cheetah on a mound the one day and the next the same cheetah with a kill next to another mound in the rain, numerous lions and off course loads and loads of other animals. We had a phenomenal family holiday and would definitely consider going back there again. This review has been written three weeks later, all of us are doing well. Given how COVID-19 has negatively impacted the tourism industry and poaching has increased as means for income. Do your research, plan a trip and go responsibly.

Thank you Wild Eye for your excellent service in helping us find and booking a bush lodge, Ant's Hill in the Waterberg, within a short distance from Johannesburg, that is malaria-free and observes strict COVID-19 protocols. Our request also included separate, deluxe chalets with views of the bushveld, and lactose-free meals. This was fulfilled by Xander, without a hitch. The rates are far more reasonable than many other lodges nearby. We were delighted with our stay. Our chalet was very spacious with well-appointed and extremely comfortable rooms, lovely vistas, and a huge patio/cum room, plus a lounge. The home-cooked meals were excellent, and the very helpful staff went out of their way to meet all our needs. Our ranger and guide was excellent. We found our games drives very interesting, and particularly enjoyed a wonderful range of buck. The lodge has 2 of the BIG 5 - rhinos and buffalo but not lions, cheetahs or elephants. We loved our swims in the marvellous pool that looked out over the bushveld. The lodge is known for offering horse-riding and it offers bushwalks, fishing and a trampoline for kids. Tt is very suitable for families as there is so much for kids and adults to do. They also offer long stays of a month or more at very reduced rates for those who want a quiet and comfortable place to work away from the cities. We can't recommend it enough.

Travelling back to the Mara Triangle with Wild Eye and being their first international guests after the lockdown period, proved to be one of the most memorable trips to that area I have ever had the privilege to experience. This was my 5th trip back to Kenya with the group in as many years, the detail and help all the team made in making this at all possible was amazing. Thanks to all the staff for making this happen. The truly memorable welcome we received from the Wild Eye camp staff, who met our group at the Serena Airstrip set the standard for the next 11 days. Interaction with that group during the period, just made this truly special. The morning breakfast and Massai lunch proved to be extra special this year. The wildlife also came out in abundance, 20 crossings, over 60 different lion sightings, mating lions, lions with cubs, special Rhino morning early morning leopards, the list was endless. I cannot recommend my friends at Wild Eye any higher, my travelling companions for their enthusiasm and comradery along with our Guide for the trip Matt, who looked after all our wildlife, photographic needs and general coordination. Wild Eye have proved to me on so many occasions that they are truly the best in the business.
