Beautiful sculptures in the downtown area. As well as paths, large park for the kids, washrooms and a stage.

The carved statues are kinda cool. Stroll through Hope and check them all out. Good photo spots around the park.

Hope has become a favourite venue of ours for several ’away-from-home’ stays over the last few years.

During these stays, getting out & about on daily walkabouts, to see and capture the various natural, and man-made art sights, has become a much-enjoyed outside activity. And especially so for daughter and I, who truly-treasure these times, and what we find, and see via our various self-guided tours.

Some of the sights we have encountered in downtown areas lately, and I have captured — various carved, wood sculptures, and some bright, colourful, wall murals.

Our walkabouts throughout the downtown areas of Hope have always been fun and interesting, and with lots of "art treasures" to see along the way!

Stayed over night in Hope and after breakfast we took a walk around the centre of Hope to look at the amazing wood carvings done with a chainsaw - well worth the walk around the town centre. Most of the carved pieces featured a natural theme and all of them showcasing the incredible talent of the artist. They were absolutely stunning pieces of wooden sculpture. You'll marvel at the details achieved on these works of art done with a chainsaw - be sure to stop and look and maybe get your photo taken by each one.

The town of Hope is known as the Chainsaw Carving Capital of the world. The giant wooden sculpures are from local artists. These carvings are around the town and are absolutely outstanding. Definitely worth the stop and walk around

The town is a beautiful place to stop and stretch your legs. The park in town is loaded with fantastic carvings of animals and characters. The artists here are phenomenal at their work. The “Japanese style pond with surrounding gardens are so lovely and peaceful. Nice to stroll through and relax.
Don’t drive through here without taking the time to have a look. You will be sorry if you don’t stop.

Hope is more than just a convenient stop to get gas and food. Stretch your legs and take a stroll around the downtown core to check out about 30 chainsaw carvings. Pick up a map of the carving locations at the Hope’s Visitor Centre and Museum located just north of Rolly’s parking lot.

Seeing that cardboard cutout of Rambo is NOT the highlight of visiting Hope. Walking along Wallace Street to see all these carvings is. They come is various shapes and forms and are (or were, when I first visited 15 years ago) the work of a single man. Just open your eyes as they are everywhere, even in benches.
