Shannon falls provincial park is a tranquil place to visit. Not too crowded and can easily be enjoyed by everyone. I like that the stream flowing is very clear. Just be very careful when you go down the stream - slippery. There is a trail...More

This park is a short way from Squamish on the Whistler Highway. The timing of our visit could not have been better. Water was gushing down the falls for more than 1,000 feet. There is an excellent lookout for views, pictures. It was truly beautiful.

Very scenic gondola ride to the restaurant and viewing area, worth the trip just to have a lunch on the large balcony area with a view of Howe sound area. Even better is to take one of the many hikes up the hills behind, better...More

The falls are a short walk from the parking lot. They are 1,100 feet high and cascade down into a river at the base. The view from the first observation area (easy walk) is beautiful. There is staircase that goes up the falls. The stairs...More

The view from the first observation area is as good as it gets unless you go up endless stairs. The stairs are well constructed but climb sharply in many switch backs. Not sure the final shot was worth the knee grease unless it is for...More

We combined this site with several others in the days. Short walk to the falls. Crowds and parking can be tough but put it on your list.

We decided to stop at Shannon Falls on the way up to Whistler. A great choice. Good parking area, well signed and several picnic tables. A nice easy hike to the base of the falls which are quite dramatic. You can continue on to the...More

Family holiday visit to Vancouver, which saw us explore the coast to the West for a day, finding Shannon Falls on our travels. Well worth the stop for a slight uphill mini-hike to stretch the legs and see the falls fairly close up, without having...More

The Shannon Waterfalls are located right down the road from the Sea to Sky Gondola. Both are definitely worth seeing. The walk to the falls is easy and the forest is delightful. It probably was about a ten minute walk from the parking lot. Definitely...More

Hi Rima I was at Shannon Falls back in June and from memory, it looked that you would be able to have a BBQ in the car park but there is isn't anywhere up by the falls - you would probably get a lot of spray on you... More

No signs say you can’t, but I wouldn’t let my kids play in that area. Shallow, cold and rocky.
