We came here to relax after our day at work and to walk our dog in such a serene spot. We know Porteau Cove well and it’s not far from home. Our dog was off leash and we were politely told to change that. We...More

Stopped for one night with my children and grandchildren. Despite over 300 reviews, this is my first campsite (haven’t camped in 30 years) but made an exception because it was great. The provincial park ranger who greeted us was friendly and very helpful. The surrounding...More

Excellent views from this port. It is one of the highlights from the Vancouver to Whistler tour. Nice stop, with parking, picnic area, public bathrooms and a boat deck from where you can take great pictures. Crowded with locals and tourists.

Beautiful views - real shame about the LOUD TRAINS that run day & night! During the weekdays there is an active gravel pit beside the train tracks. The large excavators & gravel trucks roar to life at 7:30-8am and go most of the day. The...More

Stopped by on route to Whistler. Not a great deal here but really a leg stretch more than anything and just off the sea to sky highway made it easy. Very scenic views over Howe Sound. Great place for camping as there are small coves...More

Porteau Cove is a Provincial Park... It is also a protected Marine Reserve. Perfect place to stretch your legs... Let kids out of the car to see Scuba Divers. Nice and relaxing... Better than Traffic on Sunday Afternoon.

The best would be to call and ask the campsite manager, some lots were larger than other and could accommodate a few larger tents

You can walk around the site no problem, you just won't be allowed to take your car in unless you are staying or visiting a campsite. Head right to the back, there is a small inlet with a great lookout.

Yes. There is a socket for large RVs and trailers for each site. Except the walk-in, no-vehicles sites.
