One of the nicest things to do in Bekal is a visit to this 300 year old fort (constructed in 1650AD) with its vast ramparts and breathtaking views. The observation tower, one of the only intact structures within the fort, offers a 360 degree perspective...More

As forts go, this is a pretty ordinary one with very very little to see or do. Forget the forts of Rajasthan, this is not a patch even on Maharashtra's forts All it really has is a view which is good but hardly spectacular. Perhaps...More

The fort is imposing and must have seen good days. The view of the sea and Bekal beach is interesting. Entrance ticket is now Rs 25. There is no tour nor guide. V sad. Walk to the top can be tough.

It is situated very close to National Highway. One of the beautiful fort in Kerala. You can enjoy the high tides very closely. Must to visit when you travel to Kannur.

Nothing much or special to see, local govt is creating gardens there, Its a small fort exactly on the sea shore. Yes, historically its location was ideal to secure the land.

You can go to the beach near Bekal fort. You can also go to the backwaters and take a boat ride. Being in Bekal and taking long walks itself is beautiful and calming. No need to tick the attractions on the list.
