Decided to give here a try while staying locally. Nice welcome and drinks reasonably priced. We both had steaks and they were beautifully prepared and very tasty. Choice of desserts was enough and what we decided to have was excellent. Would recommend this place if...More

Came here with my partner and friend for a drink, really lovely little pub. Ended up having a bite to eat, not much choice of food compared to other pubs but also not as busy because of where it's situated so makes sense. Not really...More

Regular appreciators of Andy 's carvery on a Wednesday. Never fails to impress. Book to avoid disappointment or a long wait although it isn't always necessary

Mushy Peas - delicious. The cavery on Wednesday is amazing value for money. There are always four kinds of vegetables, plus different potatoes. The meat is always beautifully cooked, and the Yorkshire puddings great. So if mushy peas are not to your taste, there was...More

We have been to Andys Wednesday carvery many times, initially no need to book, but became more popular. Some similar pubs charge by the size of your plate and you still see the pattern on the plate through wafer thin cuts of meat, not here,...More

Andy's Wednesday carvery is not only the least expensive - bar none - but it's also better than most! Superb meats and wide array of veg and accompaniaments and more than you can eat. Just fantastic.

Seven of us visited the Boot and Slipper for their carvery on Wednedsay. Every one of us thought the service and food were outstanding. Generous portions of tender beef and pork - melted in the mouth! Lovely veg too. All this at what really is...More
