The trail was well marked and easy to follow, average difficulty. Beautiful views of the mountains, lakes. There is a waterfall located about a mile up. We arrived around 8 and the trail was mostly empty, but started getting busy around 9:30.

I hiked the trailhead during the evening and it was perfect! The trail was challenging but doable (I’m not in the best shape). The forest and the views were fantastic and I would definitely do it again. Would totally recommend.

As you park walk a short 1/4 mile walk to a great spot overlooking the lake and town. Very quiet and serene.

Average effort hike that gained about 200 feet of elevation. We stopped about a mile up, before returning back to the parking lot. Views of the lake as you work your way up are amazing!

The trail head to Van Sickle Bi-State Park was just a few blocks from our hotel so we decided to hike there one morning. The park itself is very beautiful; the trails are easy to hike but are not marked particularly well. We missed the...More

I hiked up to the waterfall, which is on the main trail to the rim trail. The waterfall wasn't worth it, but the hike up to the waterfall has some of the best views of Lake Tahoe.

one of the three times we hiked here there was a mention of a possible bear siting.....but we never saw anything. nothing to worry about here. too many people to keep the bears away.
