It is a Bi-State park because it goes both ways... Ca and Nv. On the Nv side you can catch the rim trail and hike up to a waterfall. (It is really just a creek pouring over some rocks so don't get you hopes up)....More

Amazing views of Lake Tahoe as you hike uphill. You can stop at the waterfall and be satisfied or plow ahead to the Rim Trail. 3-4 hours round trip to the top. Go early. It can get crowded.

Just finished hiking this park and well worth it!! Not too steep (hiking poles not necessary) and the views are amazing! Remnants of fire in 2002 but still spectacular. Different trails (elevation and distance) we did all.

This is easy to find, park and follow the trail signs. Pretty good elevation but you are continually rewarded with gorgeous views. The Falls were running well for late September and the hike was lots of fun.

Gorgeous hike and it does have some challenging areas with gorgeous views. Trail head is right in town so very easy access but trail is very remote.

About 5 minutes from behind the Harrah's Casino I found the road to trailhead. Trail is very smooth so tennis shoes are fine. Trail meanders up at a very modest incline. Elevation notwithstanding, I would rate beginning of this hike as easy. I saw couples...More
