One of the best spots for photography in Sydney. It has everything - beach, rocks, cliffs, pools, waves. Anything you will ever need to shoot a beautiful sunrise. I go to this spot quite often and manage to create different shots every time.

For a city beach it is still fairly quiet and easy to park. You can always find a nice spot to sit and or swim. Large grass areas. Rock pools to the south, or nice north end clean aqua waves. Mahon pool is cute. Skate...More

Maroubra beach is a beautiful long beach that is surrounded by nature. Offering an amazing board walk, perfect waves and shops/cafes adjacent to the water. Highly recommend going for a solo day or a family/friend day out. It's far less crowded than Bondi

When the swell is pumping, this place goes OFF. Best waves I have ever had. Love this beach so much.

Hi, this is the beach where less tourists go, they all go to Bondi or Manli, and they miss something. You can walk from Bondi beach to Maroubra and end up with a great lunch on the beach or cross the Malabar headland. Worht coming.

Very pretty and fresh air was welcome after a week of rain. Plenty to see and do. We found a great cafe which served delicious food away from the beachfront crazy.

Nice waves... Strong currents but can be very crowded... Great place for evening surf when sun is going down.

Maroubra is one of the best beaches I love in Sydney. It might not be as beautiful as some of the other beaches around Sydney but it is one of the most convenients ones. Lots of parking spots, huge beach, calm, clean with good quality...More

Sydneysiders are spoilt for beaches- we have the world famous Bondi and Manly, and a long list of better ones that are kept a little quieter. Some of my favorites are the Northern Beaches, like Dee Why, Avalon and Palm Beach. However on a recent...More
