Hi Mark, I just wanted to thank you for an amazing ride today. Your horses are gorgeous, and the ride itself stunningly scenic. The ladies and gent who took us out just added to the whole experience. They were friendly, professional, informative and very sweet. The stars of the day for us were Polly and Sires, wow such gorgeous, sweet, amazing animals, your staff has an excellent ability to suit the rider with the horse. Anyhow, long story short, experience was unforgettable, thank you. René and Carsten ❤️

Great vibes super excellent ride. Thank you to the owner and tour guides we receive. Well mannered horses and friendly relationships. The love and care we received was awesome.
Everything from start to finish was excellent for us. Well spent time and definitely making a comeback. Value for money. To your staff and management keep up the great work, and great hospitality. Thank you WB & NB Nogobela

Worst experience. Do NOT recommend.

The owner rushed everyone to get on the horses, no induction other than telling patrons to make sure they have a loose reins and dont kick the horses or they will throw us off. No stirrups were lengthened or shortened or explanations given to novice riders. We were told to get going and just follow the road, no guide guiding the way. The horses are not schooled, they follow each other and do not listen to any aids. We requested an experienced rider excursion, when we arrived we were told we would break up onto two groups. When we arrived on the beach the horses simply refused to canter, we had to be led on lead reins and horses were forced to canter that way for a few steps.

When horses were assigned the owner gave us an appaloosa mare. She has severe trigeminal mediated head shaking to the point where it was unsafe and we had to get off the mare on the beach and walk back to the stables. The guide told us she is allergic to sugar cane, yet they keep using her and make her hack out through the sugar cane. It was clear the group was over booked and we were given what they had.

It takes 40 minutes of riding to eventually get to the beach, a small time on the beach and another 40 minutes back tot the stables. When we got off the guide offered to swop horses, she did try to make the experience better but nephew also has about enough at that point in time and the excursion was spoilt.

When we got back to the stables the owner took us aside to apologise for what happened and blamed his staff for using the mare.. I pointed out that he was the one that assigned the mare to us… He was cocky to say the least, but did offer that we can immediately go out again on two other horses. We drove 45minutes to get there and after 80minutes riding an unrideable horses and walking back to the stables we had enough. We requested a refund, needless to say thats when his temperament changed.

Our biggest concern is the welfare of the horse. It should not be used when it’s clearly in discomfort with head shakes so violent her reins kept flying to one side of her neck and knocking my phone out my hand.

If you are looking for a long walk via tar roads for a short ride on the beach on horses that follow the leader, this is for you. If you want to enjoy a beach ride and canter for a more experiences rider and schooled horses, dont go there. Not worth R800…

I booked a horse ride for myself and my wife as a birthday present for her. We were both very excited and arrived at the estate with anticipation. When we arrived, the hostess barely introduced herself, seeming to only care that we sign the indemnity. We didn't feel welcome at all. Having made it clear on my communication that we are complete beginner riders, I expected some sort of welcome, and a basic briefing on how to ride as well as a safety briefing which is absolutely essential. To my surprise, none of this was given and I was told to get on a horse and off we went. I had no idea how to go faster or slower, change direction etc. The horses however seemed well trained and were used to the route taken. My horse seemed spirited and wasn't obeying instructions as well as I hoped. All was OK until we got to the end of the beach ride and started to turn back whereby the horse started seeming agitated to me (yet I'm a novice rider so I expected our guide to be on the lookout for such things). Without warning, the horse bucked and I was thrown off landing hard on my right side. The guide seemed genuinely apologetic and I was in no immediate need of medical assistance apart from bruising and pain on the right side of my body. When we returned, the hostess seemed surprised that it happened and mumbled an apology but that was the end of it. There was no concern, no offer for me to sit down and take a minute - no empathy. I have nothing against my horse - he was a beautiful stallion and sometimes animals act unexpectedly. I found the attitude of the hosts completely unfriendly, inhospitable and unsympathetic. It seemed all they were interested in was getting us through the ride and getting us out of there. I am shocked that safety measures such as a basic safety briefing are not carried out. Thankfully I was thrown clear of the horse without him landing on me or my feet being caught in the stirrups.
On a positive note, our guide was very sweet and the horses seem to interact well with him. The beach part of the ride is breathtakingly beautiful. The horses seem healthy and well looked after which is nice to see.
This is not a cheap outing and I expected much more from the hosts, and at the very least, a much safer and friendlier atmosphere for novice riders. A truly disappointing experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on Friday, even in the hectic wind. Perfect venue for horseback riding from the farm to the beautiful beach.
The only criticism I have would have would be the lack of coaching or providing a few tips before the ride.

On the 15th of august me and my mother came to the farm and were received very friendly by the owner and also by his lovely dogs. We said that we would like to make a beachride. After 15 minutes my mum and i were sitting on a horse. It was very uncomplicated. And the horses looked very satisfied and happy. They were very well maintained.
Then we were ridden for 1,5 hours with a guy of the staff on the beach. It was fantastic!!! I can recommend it to everyone!

I'd like to thank Pie my trusty steed for a delightful experience riding through plantations down to the beach. There was just our little group and nature. The metronomic beat of Pie's hooves and the crashing waves of the ocean reduced me to a meditative state of calm.
It was a beautiful afternoon- & I am no horse rider.

You won't get lost you are escorted by a groom from the estate and the horses know the way - including when to turn..
