Really lovely place to stop off, have a walk, run around or have a picnic. There are wild ponies here. One allowed us to get near it to stroke it but took a lot of gentle encouragement and coaxing, most of them are quite nervy....More

Absolutely stunning place to stop and take in the scenery whilst having a cup of tea from the little tea van in the car park. Beautiful place, well worth a visit.

We only stopped for a wander along the shore, but some people camp. It is a very peaceful location. You can also see many ponies in the area, particularly towards evening.

Amazing 3 days camping. We have been here many times before there is some noise from the A30 but this does not deter from the beauty of this camp site. There is loads of space to run around for kids and dogs and a nice...More

Parked up here and crossed the stile into the field and were able to walk right down to the lake. Lovely dark blue colour on a sunny day and lots of sheep all around. Not much else around here but nice for a walk.

Lovely area,visit when the sun shining and its glorious.Nice area to walk and it's free ! Quite a large lake and you can see different scenery from another road nearby

Lots of lovely little beaches surrounded by stunning countryside. Great place for a quiet picnic in the sun (take a blanket)
