We popped in out of curiosity one day and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly owner who invited us in for a very informative guided tour of his kitchen.

The chocolate is delicious and stock is available to purchase on site.

Recommend for all fellow chockaholics!

Popped in to see what was on offer. Owner was friendly and offered to give us a tour of his kitchen & history of chocolate making recipes. Very interesting and knowledgeable person!
Tasted some samples... delicious!
Would recommend to anyone who loves chocolate.

My friends and I set out on a weekend getaway to Hermanus, on our way back to Cape Town we stopped at GaBoLi chocolates in Betty's Bay. Gaspard the chocolatier and his wife are a friendly couple who ushered us to his house where he handmakes chocolates. He took us through the whole process and we got to sample his collection. He went an extra mile to take us to his lovely garden and show us around. This was definitely a highlight of my weekend getaway. I love chocolates, but I had never been educated on what the process entailed or the meaning of the different types of chocolates.

Post my second visit to Gaspad two weekends in a row I felt absolutely excited around the thought of possibly placing him on Trip Advisor if he wasn't already on here and I am pleasantly surprised to see he is here and being acknowledged for his decadent chocolate slabs and confectionery.

This gent and his wife are absolutely passionate about their chocolate treats and are willing to share their knowledge around chocolate and Gaspard seems like a conversationalist of note that adds to the pleasant experience to their home. As long as they home they open to sell these treats.
The dark chocolate is amazingly smooth and more-ish. Even for those who are not fans of dark chocolate...let me say you will probably be converted here to the "dark side."

This is definitely worth a stop at to pick up some treats for yourself, friends, family or for that someone to butter them up...

The Gaboli chocolate owners are a great lovely elderly couple. They welcomed us to their handmade chocolate factory, took us through the chocolate making process, gave us different chocolate samples and even showed us their lovely garden!
Chocolate is yummy! Friendly people, definitely worth stopping by once you are in Betty's bay....

You'll find the house coming into Betty's Bay from the Pringle Bay side, turn first right into Porter Road and it's about 500m down the road on the right-hand side, the Belgian flag prominent.

Unfortunately missing chef Gaspard who was away when we were there, his wife took us through showing what is available.

Prices in line with good chocolate prices.

Truffles are excellent, as is the dark chocolate variations.

No credit card facilities but snapscan in use.

If you like chocolates and like to try different things, this should be a place to stop. Homemade chocolate in very different flavors, I for one love blue cheese and this was on the shelf...yes, blue cheese and chocolate and was it good. Planning on going back here again
