The history is breathing from this place.. Amazing rock carvings to marvel at even if one is not a history fan (like me).

The museum presentation is a little tired and out of date in it's style compared to other's on the island. However, the short walk up to the sites themselves more than makes up for it. Fascinating rock carvings than no one has been able to...More

Lovely place to go on a hot day as its a shady, rain-foresty place where you can see rock carvings by the original inhabitants of la Palma. Quiet and peaceful it has an ancient feel to it. The information centre had more info on the...More

Easily located off the lp1 road although it's a long drive from anywhere, at least 90 mins from Santa Cruz The road is windy and with the stunning views you have to keep stopping When you arrive there is a small cat park and museum...More

Very small information centre, but told you lots about the Gaunches and their lifestyle. A short walk takes you to see the rock carvings which I found interesting. Well worth a visit if you're interested in the history of the island.

This was a surprising find, slightly off the beaten track, but a lovely walk through the woodland to see the cave carvings.

A good shortish visit. We enjoyed the video which gave some history about the island as well as explaining the rock markings. The markings are, themselves, worth a diversion to see. The valley is very atmospheric - or, it was when we were there in...More

We were travelling long the North coast of La Palma and decided to stop in here to see what it was all about. Lovely shaded walk through the forest searching for Petroglyphs. The whole caveman experience was very interesting. The rock carvings were a bit...More

A walk through the laurel and pine enchanted forests to view various petroglyphs etched on the entrances to caves. The information boards at each place were good. The signposting is a little hit and miss and we went around twice by accident. Suitable for those...More

Nice small museum about the stone engravings followed by a film explaining the same in your own language. The following walk through the forest is nice and cool. But you realize that the 2€ entrance fee are just too little to keep the park in...More
