Great views of the volcano
Dec 2017 • Friends
Basically a very large pond which depending on the season can almost dry up, but weather permitting has fantastic views of Colima volcano. There are some cabins there for rent and a small entrance fee.

Absolutely a must when you visit Comala
May 2017 • Family
I loved this place, we went during May and it wasn't crowded, nor hot nor rainy. We were in a tour with Admire Tours and it was the second spot we went to, so we took out our Sandals and refreshed our feet at the dock: water was fresh but not cold, it was peaceful and good place to listen at the birds singing, calm and harmonious. Wish I could take the early tour for bird watching, must be quite an experience because Jupiter (from Admire Tours) showed us some pictures of such beautiful birds.

Beautiful little lagoon
Mar 2017 • Couples
We enjoyed our trip to the lagoon. We only stayed for a few hours but we got a nice feel for it. There were lots of families having picnics and enjoying the weather. You could rent boats and stay in a hotel there, but we ended up not staying because it did not have wifi. It was very cheap to get in and there were bathrooms there you can use. There is a small store near the entrance where you can buy drinks and snacks before you go in and there was a man selling ice cream out of his truck. A lovely place to visit!

Fun day out
Jul 2016 • Family
The only thing that I was bummed out about, is the volcano was covered by the clouds the day we visited. It is one of the best views of the majestic volcanos! Bring your meats and bbq in this eco friendly spot, there are several areas around the lagoon to choose from. Or they have a restaurant on site (closed on Mondays) they also have Cabins for rent to make it a nice getaway. Surrounded by nature, legends and a nice cool weather, it's the perfect spot to escape Colima city's heat! They even have little boats for rent.
