A South African motorbike tour operator offering day trips, rentals and longer rides in and around South Africa Our calendar includes start dates for tours through the year; however riders and their pillions are welcome to make contact as to any of the tours available. Additionally we customize tours as required for individuals, couples and groups. If we are able to 'make a plan', we will fix and calendar your tour.

I contacted Due South Motorcycle to join one of the guided tours.Joe replied very prompt and offered me a customised tour as I had only one week annual leave. I was very grateful that Joe and his lovely wife Diana could accommodate the tour during that period.
I decided to ride a Royal Enfield and I felt very comfortable to ride it even on exceptional occasions for example on gravel.
Joe proved to be an excellent tour guide and Diana probably one of the best women riders I ve ever met very skilled and confident . Both of them very professional and friendly in the same time.
The landscape was amazing! I will never forget the view along the coast, the small villages, the semidesert on Route 62, the lush Garden Route with ancient trees, the mountains with red brown rocks, the wine farms.
We travelled from Cape Town to Hermanus, Cape Agulhas, Barrydale, Route 62, Storms River, Garden Route.My favourite part was Meiringspoort pass, with twisted roads between mountains and the waterfall.
The places were we stayed over night were very quite, peaceful and clean.
In Cape Agulhas I was surprised to see directly from the room the sun rising from Indian Ocean. A blissful moment!
The luxury tent at the safari lodge was a unique experience for me. It offered the comfort of a 4 star hotel room and in the same time I felt very close to nature surrounded by many birds and watching the hippos in the lake. On the way we met some baboons and we saw ostrichs. Obviously we stopped to see the cute pinguins.
The food was great, I was on a vegan diet during that time but there were plenty of vegan options.
I would recommend everyone to visit South Africa with Due South! It is a unique experience!
I felt very safe and very well looked after and the ride was very relaxing!
I rode motorcycle in other parts of the world like USA, UAE and UK but this was the best motorcycle tour so far!

Just finished a week riding around the Cape, guided by Joe from Due South Motorcycle Tours. Joe was friendly and knowledgeable and gave me a motorcycling experience of South Africa that I could have never hoped to organize by myself. Every 200-300km day had a new twisty pass or two, and every night was in comfortable accommodations ranging from 4-5 star luxury to Homey B&Bs in the middle of nowhere, where you felt like part of the family. I would highly recommend Due South to any motorcyclists wanting to get off the beaten track in South Africa with an expert guide. Forget about the route and where you’re staying, and just enjoy the fantastic roads and breathtaking scenery.

Joe was very professional, friendly and experienced. Even though I had never driven on the left hand side, the ride was relaxed and I cant begin to describe the beauty of the sights we saw.
I would 100% recommend the 1 day Cape Town tour. I saw in 1 day what we couldnt see in 3 weeks!

I have just finished a wonderful 12 days motorbike tour from Johannesburg through Lesotho, Swaziland, and Kruger. The tour was perfectly organized, Joe is a great guide! We had great on- and offroad African experience, meeting locals, and enjoying atmosphere and traditions. Accommodation was perfectly selected. I will never forget the super remote lodge high up Lesotho mountains, just at the door to the famous Sani Pass. Way to go, Joe, Due South! See you on another trip in ZA. 🇨🇿🇿🇦🏍

Joe organised a bespoke 4-day trip, along the garden route from Cape Town, just for us - a condensed version of his signature week-long tour. We rode BMW 750 GSs, which were in top condition, and the trip was incredibly well researched, with great stops for coffees, meals and overnight stays along the way. Our highlights included riding to the southern tip of Africa, a braii at a traditional Karoo guesthouse with incredible hosts, and the quirky town of Barrydale, where we stayed at the awesome Karoo Moon Motel. Joe was a great guide - super friendly and well organised. Riding with him was an absolute pleasure - and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic condition of the roads and lack of traffic (at the start of low season in April). We can’t wait to come back.

After a fantastic group motorbike tour with friends and led by Joe in 2009. I was keen to do a self-drive with my now wife Younga. To revisit S.A. and extend our travels through Swaziland, Joe from 'Due South Motorcycles - Day Tours' was our obvious first stop.
Ultimately, Joe was patient and arrived at a perfect 10 day agenda, after overnight'ing in a great spot next to J'Burg airport, we drove across to Kruger and had a couple of days with two amazing drives on safari; next on to the Panorama Loop and down to the Swaziland border and beyond. A couple of nights near the capital and after some neat quad-biking and cultural visits, onward's south through Swaziland and back into S.A. to the wetlands area of St. Lucia. Again, an amazing education seeing the hippo's and croc's here for a couple of days before driving on towards Durban. We stopped off at Richards Bay for an incredible few hours of whale watching.. Can't believe so many whales jumping so close to the boat and everywhere in all directions... A quick flight hop over to Capetown and ended our trip with a few days relaxing and enjoying table mountain, penguins!! and the wineries... Recommend the Fleur De Cap wine tour showing how wine is made - sheer quality!!
Thanks again Joe for organizing everything. It really was a trip of a lifetime. Each of the boutique BnB accommodation was spot on and the driving distances and routes were just right. No way we could have experienced such a fantastic trip without your scheduling and organization.
We both appreciated your setting up the journey so much. Great memories for us and once we have kids on the scene, will definitely come back for more!!

Probably the best motorcycle tour i've ever did.
We did a tour in 4 motorcycle and we didn't have any problems during the tour.
I truly recommend Due South Motorcycle because Joe know the region and he was able to give us a amazing tour during the days.
We are anxious to book another trip with Joe for our next trip to South Africa.

My wife and I rode the Cape Town area with Due South Motorcycle Tours and loved it! Our guide Joe was very familiar with the area..the places to see and the ones to skip. Joe was accommodating and professional in every way. Fantastic experience and I will absolutely book with him next trip!

Motorbiking is one of the best ways to explore a country; nice roads of South Africa gives you this chance, with it's new and secure roads, while looking at natural beauties at the same time. Joe is a great guide and friend, with full of knowledge and fun. I will go back to South Africa to have another tour with Joe soon; so I can easily recommend it here to everybody.
