About
Our Safaris are tailor-made to suit our guest's exact needs. We specialize in Luxury Bespoke / Customized Safaris throughout Southern Africa & East Africa. Our itineraries include amazing luxury destinations and the popular tourist attractions from Cape Town to Kenya situated on the Equator and everything in between. Visit the Malaria free wildlife safari areas in the Eastern Cape, and the Luxury Safari Lodges at Kruger National Park, Madikwe and Pilanesberg in South Africa before travelling north to the majestic Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park in Botswana, and Liuwa Plains and South Luangwa National Parks in Zambia. Our destinations include the desert landscapes of Sossusvlei located in the Namib Desert, the beautiful Etosha National Park of Namibia to the wetland area of Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro to Samburu National Park in the north of Kenya and home to the beautiful Grevy's Zebra.

Five stars is not even good enough for the experience we had with Quinton and South African Safaris. We didn't just have a tour guide, but we also made a friend. So thankful for Quinton and his team as they catered the perfect plan for our family. Memories were made that will last a lifetime

We don't have enough incredible things to say about Quinton and Abby and our entire experience throughout our 2+ week trip.
We decided to head to South Africa for my husbands 50th about 4 weeks prior to departure. Our US travel agent put us in contact with Africa Explore Safari's and at that point we knew everything was going to be great. Quinton and Abby had very little time to plan but they pulled it off and not just pulled it off - they blew us away.
They worked tirelessly to ensure we had the most fabulous trip. We were a bit worried about taking our 6 year old daughter but they made sure she had a blast at every turn. From zip lining, para gliding, penguins, street art tours, a painting pig, antique stops, private sunset cruises AND more - Quinton and Abby were the ultimate hosts and also ensured our safety was a top priority.
In addition, I don't think there is anything Quinton doesn't know. Seriously it became a game to see if we could ask him the most obscure questions and almost always he knew the answer. Then you have Abby who is ensuring everything is taken care of behind the scenes. They are a fabulous team that know all the ins and outs and were on top of everything.
Quick overview of our itinerary:
-Capetown (Hotel Nelson & One & Only)
-Sabi Sands (Singita Ebony Lodge)
-Kruger (Singita Lebombo Lodge)
-Franschoek (La Residence)
Not only did they help with the overall plan and hotel bookings, they provided fantastic restaurant recommendations (we love great restaurants!! Don't miss La Petite Colombe and FYN) , handled picking up art for us and tracked down lost items. Oh and his vehicle is perfect - Land Rover so you have plenty of room and ride comfortably. Annnddd I don't really trust a lot of people driving but Quinton was great and I always felt safe and never got car sick (that is saying a lot)!.
We have traveled to over 50+ countries each of us independently and last summer we went on a 3 month sabbatical and our South Africa trip was one for the record books thanks to Africa Explore Safaris. They genuinely care about their clients and want to do everything they can to make your stay the most memorable it could be.

If you are looking for a travel agent and or personal driver with a wealth of information and knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas, call Quinton Conroy at Africa Explore Safaris. He and his wife put together an amazing trip to Cape Town, Hermanus, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Quinton was always on time (actually early), very polite, friendly without being intrusive. We had inclement weather a couple of days and Quinton was quick to rearrange all of our reservations so that we could still see and do everything we had planned. Quinton also managed to fill in other activities during while we waited for the weather to clear up. Africa is such an amazing place to visit and plan to return to see the migration. We will definitely call Africa Explore Safaris to plan our next adventure.

This was truly the trip of a lifetime largely due to the superb coordination by Quinton and Abby of Africa Explore Safaris! Everything was meticulously handled at an exceptional level. Our group spent time in Cape Town and the surrounding area including the Cape Winelands, then traveled to the Sabi Sand Private Reserve near Kruger, followed by Livingstone, Zambia for Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River, and then on to Chobe River estuary in Kasane, Botswana before returning to Cape Town for our departure. Africa Explore Safaris made everything seamless. The accommodations, wine tastings, dining, coastal tours, guided wildlife safaris and river outings, multi-country flights and shuttle transfers were exceptional and perfectly planned and executed. When members of our group requested additional outings to museums and the delightful Cape Town College of Magic, Quinton turned on a dime and made them happen without compromising the existing itinerary. So many wonderful memories from this adventure - I will definitely be returning to Africa and booking my excursions with Africa Explorer Safaris!

I’ve done lots of trips to lots of places, including 4 previous safaris. Quinton Conroy is excellent. He manages transitions without fuss, knows all the best places, is well educated and informative, and paced the trip according to the needs of the group. We were brilliantly cared for.
