About
Carole has been designing hand-painted and hand-printed original textiles in Cape Town, South Africa since 1992. These beautiful textiles are available by the meter and made up into table linen, placemats, serviettes, tea towels, aprons, cushion covers and handbags. Our products are complemented with a variety of accessories, all sourced from local hand-crafters. Factory tours can be arranged.

We haven’t been in Cape Town since March 2020 (we hate you, COVID virus!!!), but finally we made it back, all the way from Belgium. On the top of my wife’s shopping list: tablecloths of Carole Nevin (we were very happy with the ones we bought back in 2020). However: where is Carole Nevin’s shop at the Waterfront??? Couldn’t find it. Thank you, smart phone / google maps / TripAdvisor in helping us tracing the “new” location! Today we visited the shop annex workplace in Marina da Gama (Muizenberg). Samantha helped us in choosing our desired tablecloths/napkins/placemats, and then she took us upstairs to visit the workplace/factory. We got nice insights in how things are made (fully manual)! Thank you, Samantha and colleagues!! We will come again.

I love this place, I love the anticipation of peaking into the factory shop and seeing the bright and beautiful fabrics just waiting to be explored. I love the staff who are patient beyond belief and ever willing to make sure that you go away happy. I love the colour and energy and noise and bustle of seeing the hugely talented staff at work. Thank you lovely people of Carole Nevin you continue to be my favourite few hours of my holidays to Cape Town and your lovely fabrics continue to bring a little African sunshine into everyday life.
