Khotso transcends traveling in the purest way possible: by being himself. Joining Khotso on this tour, I was given revelation: your guide is just as significant as the overall experience of a trip. Not only was I enlightened by his eclectic mix of knowledge of South Africa, but he also has such a balanced outlook on life that his personality evinced immensely. No matter your background, Khotso found ways to connect with someone and could go on for hours about any subject that was presented to him. Affable, exuberant, and vigorous, there is no one else I'd rather have as a tour guide/friend.

An amazing hike up Skeleton Gorge and Nursery Ravine with views to die for. This hike however was not for the faint hearted, but Khotso made it seem so easy. With stops along the way to see things the normal hiker may miss. Worth the sore body the next day.

We went on an amazing tour with Pedro. He told us a lot great and interesting information. We felt very welcome and there were good vibes from early morning. It was a tour I have never experienced before, really great! I loved every minute of the tour. He made sure to give us the best experience ever, and that’s what we got!

My name is Carola and I took part in a tour from Johannesburg to Cape Town with a yoga group with Southern Xplorer, with stops in the Drakensberg, Chinsta Beach, Storms River and Swellendam with safari, hikes and wine tasting in Stellenbosch.
I particularly liked the fact that the trip was flexible and we did a lot more, such as ziplining. During this trip I experienced many impressions with unforgettable moments that will remain deeply etched in my memories.
I felt well looked after and in safe hands with our two guides, Sibu and Asanda. Like the itinerary, both were very flexible and accommodated our wishes. Through their stories and tales we not only got to know South Africa, but also got to feel the soul of "Mama Africa".

My friends and I took a one-day trip from Cape Town to Khayelitsha Township, which is the second largest in South Africa, under the guidance of the best guide Asanda, who grew up in this Township and still lives here. It was wonderful to see the life of the locals, we tasted their specialties and really enjoyed the trip. Thank you very much Asand for an excellent tour. I highly recommend it to everyone!🇿🇦🙏🤩

I highly recommend going on a Southern Xplorer tour. The tour guide was lots of fun and not only took me on all the bucket list activities but also knew about hidden gems. It felt like a genuine adventure. And he really thought of all the little things as well. Outstanding!

There are no words to describe how epic this trip was for my husband and I. Khotso and his team are stellar. We were limited in time and only had a week but still felt like we had a full experience of the Joburg/Capetown areas. Safari at Pilanesburg was unreal. Our tours of the Cape Town areas were out of this world. We can’t wait to go back and spend more time (esp with Khotso and his lekker crew). There’s no place like SA. And you won’t regret booking anything and everything right here.

A fantastic journey with Khotso, Alex and Assanda through South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini. Impressive adventures heartwarming encounters unforgettable and breathtaking impressions and experiences. The entire trip was super organized and planned, the team of Southern Xplorer always attentive and open to all wishes. We really had an unforgettable trip that we will remember forever. We hired Asanda as our private guide for a day. He was punctual, friendly and a good driver. He also tried to teach us to make the Xhosa sounds, but we were not too talented, LOL. We had him make several stops like BoKaap and a winery, the Mandela statue, and he was totally flexible. Then he dropped us at our new base in Franschhoek. Totally satisfied.

Khotso, the tour guide, is one of the coolest guys I've met! He's a great and knowledgable person and you'll have a lot of fun with him! You'll learn a lot about South African places, culture and customs and get to visit "secret" locations that most tourists don't even know about.
The tours and activities are packed with adventure and beautiful places to visit. You'll never get bored and learn a lot about this beautiful country!
I can recommend Southern Xplorer Tours 100%. There are many different possible tours, so it doesn't matter if you love adventure or if you're more interested in history, there's something for everybody!
