We used Saffa Tours as part of our honeymoon to South Africa. Josh guided us for 4 days on a custom itinerary.
We're not great with words, but to put it short, Josh was epic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. Well worth the cost visiting in the Cape area where there are so many things to do. Lightyears ahead of what a larger tour group would be able to put together.
From small details to adjusting the daily itinerary on the fly (last minute surf lesson done by him), Josh made things happen.

Something that strikes me about South Africa and it’s people is passion, and if there is one thing that Saffa Tours offers is just that - a raw, invigorating, deep rooted passion for South Africa and all it has to offer. Never have I encountered such organization, such fire for exploration - to show and to teach, and such willingness to adapt the bespoke tours and plans offered at any moment. We felt understood, we felt appreciated, and we felt that our best interests were always put first. And not only that, we had instilled in us the very passion felt for this beautiful place and it’s people. We highly recommend Saffa Tours and we will be back, to not only this beautiful place but to visit the friends we made in Saffa Tours. Thank you!

Wow, what a phenomenal tour guide. Knowledgeable, confident and so interesting. Our experience was carefully curated to suit our interests and passions and one could not have done a better job. Amazing tour company. Josh helped plan our itinerary around the activities we wanted to do. Due to weather conditions a couple of the activities were cancelled but there were alternatives ready straight away. Rich was our guide and he was a joy to be around. Highly recommend!

Girlfriends and I had the most epic experience in and around Cape Town and I have to say a big part of that was no doubt down to the organisational skills and fun schedule created by Saffa Tours.
Josh, the owner of the company really created a tailor made experience for us, and definitely went above and beyond your normal guide. As a local he has exceptional knowledge of the best spots in town for adventure, good food and more...
I have to say I was sceptical about using a tour company to organise the trip as I usually plan my own holidays, but it really didn’t feel like organised fun, it just meant that we had someone with local insight to do all the hard work of planning, and to take us everywhere we needed to go. He was super flexible and it really enabled us to have a seamless jam packed adventure that suited us.
He took such an active interest in our time that we became friends, and I will definitely miss Cape Town and the Saffa crew!

An unforgettable day! I was traveling to Cape Town with three colleagues and had only 8 hours for sight seeing. Josh e picked us up at our hotel early in morning and drove us to all the in the most highlights, Chapman's Peak Drive, Cape of Good Hope, Cape point, penguins, kalk bay,... he planned our day in the most efficient way.
Josh is knowledgeable about the area and he is such an amazing tour guide.

We visited Cape Town as part of a wider tour of South Africa we were making to visit family etc but our time with Josh in the Cape became the most spectacular part and we saw and did things we would never have imagined without the help of Saffa Tours.
Well before our trip we discussed with Josh the sort of activity we enjoy and from there he curated a set of activities for us to do over the time we had in Cape Town. We actually ended up extending our trip in Cape Town for a couple of days when booking flights once we realised we wouldn’t fit all of the amazing activities in that we really wanted to try.
When we arrived in Cape Town we were met by Josh who greeted us with billtong and we started our adventure that day, with a walking tour of the city. Josh booked some amazing restaurants to visit in the evenings during our free time and the hotels that he looks into absolutely beautiful the service is amazing and the vehicles that Josh uses are also really comfortable and luxurious.
Some of the activities we did with Josh included paragliding off signal hill, going up Table Mountain, visiting The Winelands, going to Hermanus, helicopter ride around the point, visiting the Penguins in Simon’s Town, Safari tour of the Cape point national park with the most amazing picnic, walking up to the Lighthouse, walking tour of the city, E bikes between wine tasting, and horseriding on the beach. We also visited Imizama Yetu township and that was something we wouldn’t have done without a guy that we could truly trust like Josh to arrange it all.
The experiences we had with Josh were both luxurious and just enough on the side of adventure to make them completely memorable. They were also still completely tailored to us in terms of what we enjoy. We had the most magical time and we have the most amazing photographs and memories which will always remind us of Cape Town. Even when the weather was not an our side, Josh solved the problems and made sure that we still had activities to do, flexing his others itinerary to make sure that we could still do as many activities as we could whilst the storm rolled in.
We cannot thank Saffa Tours enough for making our precious time in the Cape the best it could be. I cannot recommend Josh and his company Saffa Tours enough, as they made our time in South Africa in the Cape absolutely amazing and we were looking forward to the holiday because of the great preparation. We were taken care of from start to finish and if you can get into those amazing restaurants please I really recommend you do, especially Fyn in Cape Town which was the best meal we’ve ever eaten in our entire lives!

My wife and I used Saffa Tours for an amazing trip in November 2021. Josh with Saffa Tours put together an amazing itinerary for our trip, personalizing the experience for us, and adjusted on the fly to various changes (weather).
This was our first trip to South Africa, and Josh did an amazing job of giving us an incredible tour of the country, provided great historical context, and, honestly, made all of our days incredibly fun! Josh is thorough, easy-going, and am amazing host. He gave great recommendations for when my wife and I were going on our own, and provided surprises for us along the way. We did city tours, hikes, bike rides, saw amazing wildlife, tried amazing food, drank amazing wine, toured botanical gardens, saw amazing cultural parts of Capetown, and more.
On our trip, Josh and Saffa Tours put together an amazing itinerary, based on what we were into, and they provided us with an absolutely incredible trip. My wife and I love to travel, and have worked with many groups such as Saffa Tours; this trip was, by far, our favorite tour, and Saffa was the best guide group we’ve ever used.
Lastly, we travelled with Saffa in November of 2021. Josh provided us with good COVID protocols, in order to keep us safe. We were thankful for this, and we felt very safe re: COVID during our dealings with him.
Anyone who is looking for a personalized experience in South Africa should look no further than Saffa Tours. A perfect experience.
