My family and I as well as friends of ours went to Coffee Lab for coffee and “the so called best carrot cake in the Ballito Lifestyle Centre” on Tuesday 18/01/2022 around 14:00. Our friends have asked the waiter if the carrot cake was fresh and was told: Yes it was fresh. To our disappointment the carrot cake was not freshly made but it had an old stale taste and was busy drying up and covered up by a very thick layer of about (1cm) of lemon icing. To be honest if they think Coffee Lab’s carrot cake are the best then whoever the baker is he/she cannot make cake at all. It will definitely taste better if you mix a little bit of icing with cream cheese and lemon juice and lemon zest. And please don’t keep carrot cake outside for too long as it’s gets dry and old. People hate old cake and people are testing and trying carrot cakes everywhere to find the best one. And to be totally honest the best carrot cake you will find at Mount Edgecombe County Club 1st Course at the Boar’s Head. They have a lady that makes the best carrot cake in all of Umhlanga and Ballito. Go and have some and see and judge for yourself. It was tried and tested.

Good food for the whole family. Everyone can choose their own food. Artisanal market. Great vibe. You can even buy meat from the meat market. We had curry, pizza, chicken burger, schwarma and stirfy and all were good

Free parking which can get very full at times. Dozens of restaurants situated in one area which makes for lively eats and drinks.

A totally awesome experience without the feeling of being boxed up indoors in a regular shopping centre.
Beautiful variety of stores, excellent restaurants and all in all a place where one wants to keep on going to.

A large venue with food outlets lined along it. You walk along, choose your dish & are notified when its ready. We chose from the fish outlet & the meat location. The kingklip was good but the ribs, although generous & attractive, were really tough & not very palatable. It's a place for a quick meal or a leisurely snack & chat.

You know you are on holiday once you step into this airy well-designed center. Really has a bit of everything with chilled seaside vibes and lots of eating places full of character. Stumbled upon Alchemy today; a gin bar and Cafe. Had refreshing ciders and scrumptious brunch with an amazingly attentive and professional waiter Nicolas. Left feeling elated and back in the holiday spirit. Definitely worth a visit. They are planning a NYE party as well.. Definitely on to do list for Ballito!
