We were staying in the cottage adjacent to this but we would have visited earlier. Spent an interesting couple of hours studying the local history.

We visited twice during our stay on the island. The first time was in the campervan, to visit the very informative Skerryvore Lighthouse exhibition, a must if you’re a fan of the Stevenson’s engineering feats. On that occasion, the pier restaurant wasn’t open at lunch time, so a few days later we cycled over from our Croft campsite and had a lovely lunchtime meal there.

A fantastic meal in the evening here at He the pier cafe restaraunt, beautiful lemon sole! really lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff who absolutely genuinely want to talk to you and make it a lovely stay. A very comfy sleep in the Hynish centre itself, an amazing setting (treated to a stunning display of noctillucent clouds in the early morning too!) All so much appreciated after walking 12 miles in 30° heat on Tiree, couldn't ask for better. Thank you!

We went to the centre several times during our stay on Tiree. The information centre is brilliant and informative, the walks are very interesting and the beach is a bit of a sun trap and, I was told, a place to see visiting otters. The Peir restaurant is a real gem. The food is local and all of the meals are cooked for you from scratch whilst you wait. The staff are tremendous - very informative and enthusiastic about what they do. Crystal was particularly helpful - a great source of local knowledge - gave us some tips on places to visit which enhanced our visit of Tiree. Great place and great staff - don't miss it.
