Nice walk across the causway, but the uneven stones can be bit tricky. Best way is to walk on the grassy patch along the beach. one also needs to cross a sand patch, soft but sharp. Sandals are not very suitale. Woodlands are worth a...More

It's a shame that lots of people just seem to walk out to the castle and back and then head off again, ignoring the woods nearby. These offer some excellent walks (and good views of the castle too) and are well worth exploring. The walk...More

The castle ruin itself is relatively small, but they have built an interesting, modern structure inside it, so you can climb up for some really nice views. The ruins are on a small island, connected by a damn, so it's a really nice walk there....More

It takes approx. 20 min. to walk there from the parking, but the views are really worth it. Very windy when we visited, so bring a layer, even if warm and sunny at the parking.
