Well worth the visit- this castle has seen occupation since 3200BC. Great views of Amasya- if driving it very well signposted to show the way. Pay 5TL pp allow 30/40 mins to see the whole site. No toilets.

The views and history are so good we twice walked up the back road, around the back of the mountain from the river and through the suburbs.

Worth the climb. Very narrow steep steps to the top, but worth it in the end. The view is fantastic from the top !

Best place in Amasya ,some climbing is required but overall the view beats it all ,5tl entrance fee ,and tuh duh u r in a for a ride(climb;)) ,u need a car to go there though

Go up there you will see all around Amasya with almost Birdseye! Entrance is only 5tl and you can go there with your own viechle or get in one of the local taxis! On the way back you will see a cafee! You should stop...More
