This is a must see and a nice stop along the highways. The monetary is nicely planned and laid out - I was impressed by how well preserved the fresco is, and the art was astonishingly beautiful. The highlight: the world's only smiling Mary.

This is another Cappadocian stone edifice, originally a church and monastery. The chapel has extremely well preserved and beautiful paintings with better color and detail than many of the more well known sites. Not crowded and very pleasant staff.

A city of magnificent cave houses. A charming monastery in the heart of this historic city. You should see the surprise of Cappadocia extension.

Off the beaten track a bit, but A MUST if you're in to frescoes. Really well preserved in an amazing monastery. Entry only 5TL, and no crowds.
