Review of: Cape Canopy Tour
We had the most awesome day with Cape Canopy Tours. This is a first rate, world class, professionally run, 100% fun day out. Definitely not for the faint-hearted and you do need to be relatively fit for the climb back to the vehicle, but if you tick those boxes, you'll love this adventure. The Hottentots Holland Reserve is a beautiful little slice of the Western Cape...beyond scenic.....and viewing the mountains, waterfalls and the source of the Riviersonderend River while whizzing by suspended on a wire has to be the most exhilarating way to see it. Thanks to our guide Lucky and our safety guide Katleho (KG) for taking such good care of us and for making the whole experience FUN! I couldn't recommend this highly enough.

I was so scared beforehand! But the guides are safety conscious and their joking makes it easier to jump off that platform. Remember to look at the breathtaking scenery below. A great de-stress to scream at the top of your lungs (well I did in any case!)

Review of: Cape Canopy Tour
We did the Cape Conopy Tour as a family - kids, parents and grandparents - and we had a wonderful time. Upon arrival we had a safety briefing. A coffee shop and toilet facilities are available and you can purchase a cooldrink or water prior to your trip. The 30min 4X4 drive to the starting point was fantastic! Once you complete the first two ziplines you have an opprtunity to bail out. No one in our group wanted to miss out on the fun so we continued. This zipline requires a harnass which also goes over your shoulders. I really like it since I felt more secure and it allows more freedom which you get to enjoy on some of the ziplines. This was the firts time I experienced a zipline which allows the guide to break the speed of your approach which was another awesome feature for those with less experience with ziplining. This was the best canopy tour I’ve done to date. The views are awesome and I loved seeing the waterfalls. Brandon and Lucky were our gides. Brandon in particular really added to the cheerful and fun ambiance of the entire experience. We felt safe and the guides followed safety regulations. The guides were excellent. We did the tour at the end of May. Check the weather and wear warm clothing. Once you are in your harness it is not really possible to change your clothing so choose wisely. The experience really does take 4 and a half hours so have a meal or snack before you start the tour. You can bring a water bottle and they will tie it to you harness. There is a 1km uphill hike at the end of the tour before driving back. More tips: Leave some water for the short hike. I would also advise doing this as a group. Please leave your car keys and wallet at reception! I had some tissues and lip balm in my pocket and these came in handy. If you decide to take a phone be sure to wear a jacket with pockets which can close with a zip. You will wear a helmet so maybe bring a buff to wear under the helmet - it also helps if you have helmet hair afterwards! The Elgin Railway Market is a great stop after the tour if you happen to do this over the weekend. Houwhoek or Peregrine farm stalls are also great options. You can pay with a credit card. Check the weather since you can chance the time up to 24 hours beforehand. Comfortable sport shoes are a must. I kept my sunglasses on and luckily I did not lose them. If you have a sunglass strap you could bring it along.

Review of: Cape Canopy Tour
What an amazing experience - 12 of us went to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday! It was amazing - the views breathtaking, the attention to detail by Cape Canopy Tours and the experience was incredible. We felt safe and cared for throughout the experience. We were a large group and Cape Canopy Tours gave us 4 guides Adrian, Rolin, Charlton and Justin - each of them, amazing - great sense of humor and lots of fun!! Congratulations to you all for an amazing job and looking after us so well!!
