A very small museum, but big enough to show us all the process of making the world famous Camembert cheese, especially concerning the older processes of manufacturing. The entrance allows you to have a small tasting of three different types of Camembert along with a...More

There are two museums. One in the village of Camembert and one in Vimoutier. The one in Camembert is quite interesting and you can sample the cheeses afterwards. The other maybe the subject of criticism in these reviews. Check it out carefully.

Really enjoyed this museum, I came out understanding the value of the camembert rather than the price, the tasting was good too

The musee was closed until 2 pm , they have really long lunch breaks . Camembert is a very tiny hamlet with nothing else there to see. The views are spectacular .

Definitely wasn't what we expected and it is quite an old and tired display, but we had a laugh there. The degustation was nice at the end.

Worth a visit, even if it's for the tasters and cidre at the end, but the exhibits are tired and there is a real need to update how the Camembert story is presented. Easy to find with plenty of on-street car parking right outside the...More
